Where do I get the key for the Chrome extension?
Create a free Anole account and add your website. The key is in the "Chrome extension" section of the panel. Paste it in the extension settings (sliders icon). One key checks any page.
Why does the extension say it cannot check this page?
Chrome does not let extensions read its own pages, such as chrome:// addresses and the Chrome Web Store. Open a regular website and click the icon again.
What does the extension send and what do you store?
Only when you click the icon, the extension sends the HTML of the open page and your key for analysis. The result comes back to the extension and the page content is not stored.
Does checking a page use credits?
No. Checks made with the Chrome extension do not use credits.
How do I connect a plugin to my account?
Install the plugin, open its settings and click "Connect to Anole". Sign in and approve the site. You do not need to copy anything.
The key leaked. What should I do?
Generate a new key in the site settings. The old one stops working immediately. Then paste the new key wherever you used the old one.
